is ther any new/ better engine models out for a chevy Impala 2000?

please help! i wana fix my new soon to be vehicle and im thinking jus changing the engine will save me on costs... and in the mean time upgrading to better stuff wont hurt

you can get 350 long block or 383 long block 5.7 liter crate enginge from chevy . And if you do you'll have to replace the transmission to fit . for around 5-6,000$ all togeather . The horespower is worth it . If you can afford it . I myself have a 383 long block crate engine in my truck and the horespoer is 345. these engines last forever .
