is their gonna be another star trek movie?

i know their will not be another TNG Movie, but what are the chances of a RAB9, enterprise or voyager movie?

Spock is a Vulcan, and so will be able for sets for another 500 years at least

Kirk is well preserved
Scotty , Zulu , Uhura , Chekov , etc - probably
Bones is (unfortunately ) bones at this time, but they could probably ressurect a virtual tosser pill dispensor, ala Voyager, but that would be the death knell

and many up and coming 'actors' will be obviously willing to don the red suit of death

A surety.

Star Trek is dead now. All the underlying warmth, humour and humanity is gone. Its just another dull sci-fi kiddie fest.

So to answer your question, if they keep things like this, no.

Fraid I have to disagree with this - Nemesis was awful I thought..ok, it WAS better than Insurrection but that wasn't exactly a difficult achievement either.

As a standard sci-fi/action flick Nemesis mighta been ok, but as Star Trek 10 (and probably the last TNG movie - if not the last Trek movie) it didn't make the grade I felt. :(

As far as I am concerned the franchise died (or better fell into a deep coma) after the end of Star Trek Voyager.

I liked Star Trek since the 70's, but if Enterprise is the best they can come up with, it should not have continue, .

Did not even see Nemesis as I thought the total concept was just plain silly. I actually liked Insurrection, it was better than Generations at least, so that was a good end for the movies for me.

As a diehard Trekkie myself, i would have to say no. Its the whole ongoing saga thing that keeps me intersted. I have grown up on star trek and would hate to see it end. (I even cried like a baby when kirk died in Generations)

There was a resounding cheer in the auditorium when Kirk died when I watched it. I kid you not.

Oh, and I'm sure there'll be another film.

Oh lord star trek..........Loved the old versions and fourth movie i believe....which was something Khan! Yes that was good, but the others. Dear lord if this franchise hasnt already died then im living on Mars.

Star trek used to have humour and seriousness to it at the same time, it used to take the piss out of it self........Now its literally taking the piss!

Goodness is it really that hard to come out with a good script at least for a star trek movie? .

I'd rather sit through the whole Star wars series then watch a star trek movie........now thats saying something:eek:

Tut tut, Khan was in the second, whales in the fourth

Movies number 2, 4, 6 and 8 were all damn good. I would say that with number 8 (First Contact) that the series had been saved. Then came number 9 (Which I liked) but it played like a feature length episode of the series.

I think that the problem for the show is that, within the Star Trek universe, after around 600 episodes (I'll await correcting :D) it's difficult to find something that is unique.

But there may be a new one, and they may not. I'm inclined to believe that there will be one. Probably something to do with one or two of the series' I reckon. Probably to be filmed in Canada. At a guess.

Anyway, with these ramblings I shall happily proceed to fall off the board.

"Warp One, Engage!" :)

...and I'd rather watch Star Trek 5 five times than sit through all of the Star Wars films so far! (Well maybe except TESB)... :D
