Is their a time of year that you should not paint your interior walls?

I live in New England and for some odd reason i remember someone telling me i should not paint in the winter. if this is true why?
 
You can paint whenever you like, but most tend to stay away from the rainy season. Humidity in the air will cause the paint to take a bit longer to dry. I usually opt for sunny days when possible, but if you have been getting weather like us, then you just never know what it will be like out there. I have painted in every kind of weather and all seasons without a problem.
