Is the word zoology pronounced zoe-ology or zoo-ology?

My 6th grade teacher gave us a half hour speech about how people mispronounce the word zoology. She said that it was pronounced zoe-ology, but I've heard over and over it being pronounced zoo-ology.
I think she's wrong.
