Is the wolfman any good?

It was a homage to the original Wolfman make up.

Benicio Del Toro was even made up to look like Lon Chaney Jnr which was a nice touch.

They captured a dark, Gothic feel in the film but I didn't think Lawrence (Benicio) was a sympathetic enough character, so you couldn't really feel anything when he's struck by 'the curse'.

Apart from some scattered limbs and entrails, the film could've been a Saturday morning kiRAB movie.

6/10 for style and faithful reproduction of the classic Hollywood monster film.

I haven't seen the film but I've got to say that Benicio Del Toro was perfect casting.
He just has such a similar look to Lon Chaney Jr as Larry Talbot.
I think it's the sad droopy eyes.

We watched this on Friday night on Sky BO. It was okay, nothing too special.

Watch the directors cut. The theatrical version was butchered and doesn't even feature Max Von Sydow. The DC is superb.
