I have never EVER thought of protesting the Christ in Christmas, or getting Christmas trees out of shopping centers etc

No war. What is war good for? Absolutely nothing.
More like let's replace our ignornace with awarenes,
become aware Christmas is primarily a pkg of lies,
become aware stats reveal it's worst time of year:
more thefts, suicides, accidents, deaths, etc;
Not to mention weather dbleminded: unstable.

Actually it's a nonsense phrase. There is no War on Christmas. You can still celebrate Christmas, but privately with your family, not on a public street. Sorry but it's not just atheists either. It's EVERYBODY that isn't a Christian. Jews, Muslims, Wiccans, Buddhists and yes Atheists. You can't narrow it down to one group, you have to include everybody that is worried that Christmas is getting out of hand.

I really don't see evidence of a real "War on Christmas." What I do see is a greater sensitivity to the diversity of our Nation.

atheists aren't making a war on christmas aside from some dipsh*ts. Christians are only assuming we are making war because they believe christmas is a christian holiday and these people who think this also think that anything that is not for them is against them and they are being attacked.

How is the pursuit of allowing people of religions other then Christians (and people with no religion), the ability to celebrate their holidays in December without persecution from Christians, considered a "War on Christmas"?

Srsly, get that paranoia & Persecution Complex looked at by a doctor.

Most atheists I know celebrate Christmas -- a secular Christmas with trees, lights, elves, snowmen, Santa, and presents. Just like most Christians I know. The difference being, we don't want the merry making being supported on the tax payer's dime or shoved on anyone who doesn't care to participate.

Now, Christians who admonish other Christians for how they celebrate the holiday --- that's another story. It's entertaining to watch from the sidelines.
