About 2/3 of the members of the UN are small countries that are ruled by dictators or by ideologies that oppress the freedoms of their own citizens. The UN's power is basically unchecked, and it has enormous amounts of money and power to arrange such programs as with Saddam's Oil for Food, corrupting numerous American allies. Members of UN teams in Africa have been documented as rapists - they're pretty much untouchable.
The Communist Chinese also do as they wish - imprisoning their citizens who push for freedom - as well as polluting the environment.
