the gsxr 600 is a good bike lighter weight with a good amount of power i would recommend it for a starter if sports bike is what you want another bike that looks very sporty is the ninja 250 looks cool and not alot of power if you have never rode i would go with the 250 if you have road before go for the ninja 600 great bike with nice power good luck and be safe
