when i turn the key i do not get any noise at all, no click, winding noises nothing. the lights and everything work making me believe my battery is fine. but what could it be that my car wont start. its not even trying or attempting to turn over. help me please. its a 1993 lincoln town car executive series. thanks!

check the battery terminals for corrode and tightness. also the starter might be stuck. try tapping on the starter and see if it starts. i saw that happen before.

If the starter is bad you should hear a clicking noise when you turn the key. This clicking noise means the solenoid, or starter relay, is working. If the battery is good, and there is no click when you turn the key replace the solenoid switch.

Its actually probably your starter solenoid, if you arent getting any noise. If your starter is bad and the solenoid good youll get some type of noise or click.

I had the same problem too in my expedition. my lights would turn on just fine, radio would play loud. But when i tried to turn it on I would not even get any noise nor a click. So I opened my hood and battery cables had corrosion but not allot. I cleaned them and after I was done the car started fine. if this does not work it could be your solenoid not really expensive to replace only like $18. or you could be right your starter is bad. good luck

If you can get the starter out, you can take it to a shop and they can test it! Try Autozone or Checker! They can probably tell you what's wrong and what you might need!! It could also be a problem with the ignition switch! Sounds more like the starter though.
