Okay my school has this really unnecessary dress code (I'm a sophomore in Highschool) we can't have long hair, and I'm not even talking about LONG I mean your hair can't be covering your ears, and your bangs can't go down to your eye brows. That's the limit. Anyways that's a whole other rant for me, but today was my first day back to school, I got a ride with a friend. We parked in the parking lot and started walking up to the front doors of the school, when a teacher stops me, and tells me he can't let me into the building cause my hair is slightly covering the top of my ear. Anways, I argued with him about it for a second, so then my friend said he would take me back home, when the teacher says "If you're in dress code you cannot leave the campus once on the property." So he wouldn't let my friend take me back home. So I call my dad, turns out he just went to the hospital. That would have been my only other ride home. So I explain my situation to the teacher, sure enough, he tells me he doesn't care. Anyways I ended up walking home, 10 miles, to a different town. This just doesn't seem legal to me, seems like they can get in some sort of trouble for this. Can they? I'm pretty ticked off about this.
