Is the Samsung Strive a good phone?

I am due for my upgrade and i was thinking about getting the Samsung Strive in purple b/c i think the black one is ugly, and its the only phone that i like and stands out to me. well i just wanted to know if it is a good phone to get? and im just pretty much using it for calling and texting. so is it good or should i look into a different one.
