Is the picture quality between a Panasonic Lumix GF1 versus Nikon D90 that

Theoretically, the D90 will out perform the GF-1 if for no other reason that the D90 has a larger sensor. From the results of the tests in this link, you will see that the D90 also out performs the GF-1 in some important areas.

The other drawback at this time is The Nikon system has over 60 current lenses available it can use and the 4/3rds cameras have around 25 to 30 if you include Olympus, Panasonic and Leica 4/3rds lenes
 
noticeable overall? I wanted to print a couple images 2 feet x 2.5 feet. When i take photos i feel i do a pretty good job because i always use a tripod making sure it's steady, take concern for lighting, and take many pictures at different angles and distances away from an object or view to ensure a good photo. I don't know much camera vocab so here is a link to a comparison
