is the part near El Camino College in Torrance, CA nice and safe?

I found an apartment for 800 for a studio. thats a good price but I was wondering if the area around is safe and is it even worth staying there just to save money

Its not the greeates are ever. There are pockets that are ok. If you are a single female I would not recommend it.
