oven thermometer? I am new to gas ovens, but now live with one in my apartment. So far as I can see, it doesn't have a light or bell of any sort that alerts you when the oven is done preheating. Is this typical of gas ovens? Am I missing something completely? All the electric ovens I have ever used have had some sort of signal.
I know oven thermometers are cheap, but I want to know if this is the norm, so please check yourself before wasting your time with posting a snarky comment. Thanks.
