I currently still have warranty on my laptop. It will be ending in a couple weeks so I want to extend it. I spoke with an HP support tech online and she said that she will have her manager call me when I am available and I gave her a time to call me. So I received a phone call 30 minutes ago from a blocked number. It was a man with odd accent and he said he is from HP and offered me the different packages of warranty. I told him I did not feel comfortable giving my credit card number over the phone, especially a blocked number. He told he would send me an email with my computer information (laptop model, address, etc), which he did, however nowhere in the email has an hp logo. The email he used was: [email protected] . It just feels sketchy that i can't purchase warranty directly from the HP website. I looked on there website to find other possibilities but am having trouble.
Is the only way to extend warranty on my HP laptop over the phone?
