Is the Nobel Prize for Literature a joke?

As you all know, the NP for Literature is like the Hall of Fame for writers, but only thing is-- the chances of getting in are much slimmer: one person gets in a year, but in athletics is multiple admission.

But the thing is, so many amazing writers have not been able to get in. Hell, the committee
has said to have been biased.

Nabokov was never admitted, and he was clearly one of the best writers the twentieth century, if not the best. Okay, before you say it, not everyone who pens a classic will be able to squeeze through, but come on. So many other writers to mention, not just Nabokov (I don't feel like naming all of them). Feel free to call them out, if you wish.

It's a travesty. But, of course, that's my opinion.

I don't think it's a joke, but I agree with you about the ridiculousness of how exclusive it remains. By this point, I would have really expected it to accept more than just one author a year due to the immense amount of talent in that field. It's very unfair, in my opinion, that athletes get better treatment in their Hall of Fame and are showered with awards while writers, even outstanding ones, have little to know award recognition. The NP for Literature should definitely go out to more than one author a year, I completely agree.
