I was wondering if the D90 was good for sports.. I mean I'm not talking about the 4.5 FPS, but I am talking about how good it can capture action like in low light conditions like basketball in a gym, or like football outside at night time ... So is the D90 good for sport photography ?

The d90 is a great camera but that really doesn't have much to do with taking sports photos. The ISO handling is great at a high ISO. And thats basically the most important thing on the camera itself. Lens is more important than anything else. For low light or indoor sports you will be wanting a telephoto lense with a greater aperature. For instance the professional lens cost a lot but usually have an aperature of f2.8. This makes them great for low light sports.the smaller the aperature the slower the shutter speed will be. The camera you have won't make a huge difference in low light sports. The more important thing is the lens. Just remember that for low light sports you will need a wider aperature and that is way more important than the camera itself.
