i was thinkning about getting a nexus one. the thing is i hear all these issues with this device from 3G issues to hardware failure. should i wait for the next google device or get it and hope i dont run into these issues?

I own a google nexus one. We don't have 3G in india. So, I don't have any problem. I don't know about a hardware failure you are talking about. But the phone is not hang even single time since I bought it. Its almost 3 months I am using it. If you thinking of buying a new phone, I would suggest you to get HTC incredible. I don't have any idea about HTC incredible's pros and cons.

IMO Google Nexus One still rocks..

I've had the 1 since it's release and don't have any hardware issues. There are some work arounds for the 3G issue, if it even exists. I have 3G here and mine stays on 3G or H, hspa, all of the time. If you want to wait, there may be some even better phones coming out. If you are with T-Mobile they have Samsung Galaxy S with a 1ghz processor.

I'll be buying one for my wife. My N1 had call quality issues (random static during a call, due to radio interference), in which the repaired phone should be showing up at my place at noon today. That's the only issue I've had with the hardware, and HTC was quick to take it back and address it.

hello my friend here is my take.
I received my nexus 3weeks ago from this day and could not be happier. Coming from a rooted G1,its quite the difference. I had the 3g problem the 1st day and after a quick fix i now get more bars on 3g than my wifes g1 every where we go. For the quick fix ( *#*#info#*#* from the dialer) you have to change from wcdma only to wcdma perfered for 24hours (you might be able to switch back sooner but this is what i did) then switch it back to wcdma only. if possible do it in a area with good 3g coverage. as for hardware problems i have had none, once and a while it may give you a wrong touch on the keyboard but just put it to sleep then wake back up and its fine, as for the incredible, if your on tmobile, thats not an option for you cause you cant take verizons phones from there network to any other. After an update or two this phone is going to be the sh-t, well it really is as of now. also if you want to be the 1st to receive updates for software, nexus will get them before any one else. Hope this helps and good luck on you choice. And the galaxy S is going to AT@t, not t-Mo, you could use it on edge but whats the point.

According to T-Mo the Galaxy S is theres, it has the right bands.

I have had my Nexus One for bout 3 weeks and I LOVE IT ! No problems at all since I have had it, does it all and the battery life is GREAT ! I just want flash player on it. I thought it came on the N1 I guess I got bad info on that end (tmobile worker told me).

This article, by Andy Rubin, says we will probably get flash before froyo.
