Most defiantly. The sport edition isn't really ballsy enough to break free of the chick car moniker. It only makes 158hp. In a compact like that, the sport edition needs to make more than 200hp in order to break free of being a chick car.
However, the Corolla isn't the most chick car out there. A guy could drive it if he wanted to. After all, it isn't a Miata or a Jetta.
uber_hound is mistaken. Most Toyota plants are overseas. The plants that are in the US are primarily assembly, not full blown manufacturing. As for American cars, very few are actually made in Mexico. The cars made in Mexico are ussually for the South and Central American market, not the North American market. One of the Corolla's American counterparts, the Pontiac Vibe, is only made in California. If an American car, for the Amerian market, is made in another country, that country is Canada.
