My brother-in-law just gave me a Motorola H790 Bluetooth Headset and I want to use it on the PlayStation 3 (PS3). It's brand new, he bought it 2 weeks ago and used it on his phone and it worked perfectly for him.
Ok, so everything is fine and normal at first when I go through the first steps of pairing it onto the PS3 and once I hit in the 0000 (the pass code) it says 'Register Completed' on the PS3 Screen but the Blue light stays on for like 2 seconds on the Bluetooth meaning that it works, but then it turns Red on the Bluetooth and the Blue light beside where it says 'Motorola H790' on the PS3 Screen turns off. So, my guess by now would be it's not Compatible with the PS3 but I just want to make sure if I'm doing something wrong or there's a certain button I have to push on the Bluetooth? Oh, and it was fully charged when I was trying to pair it. Right now, It's on the charger and has been for the past 5 hours.
My brother-in-law disconnected the Bluetooth from his phone, so that shouldn't be the problem, but then again, his friend called him while I was trying to pair the Bluetooth on the PS3 and it suddenly worked, I could use it on the game and everything but then when they hung up, the Bluetooth light turned red again and it stopped working.
