I have a friend who's a single dad. He's 26 and works low-wage , unskilled labor jobs. He was thinking to moving to Wyoming (WHY?) I suggested the service because if he's going to be surrounded by rednecks and living in squalor he might as well pick up some skills and earn money while he's doing it. I'd suggest the Marines but I honestly think he'd wash out in a week, with his attitude.
