Is the media trying to ram these torture investigations down our throats?

Seriously, how many people do you know care about this topic as much as the media is reporting on it? Most people I know care FAR more about the economy, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, health care reform, education, the environment, public safety, etc than who knew what about waterboarding when, but the media constantly has it as one of their top stories.
 
BUSH told all America WE DO NOT TORTURE I don't get it like we all knew about the CIA,s lies and abuses over the last 8 years.
