The reason I ask is because our mail lady has skipped over our house three times already this month.
My boyfriend is in basic training and I've been writing him every night and then putting the letter in the mailbox, raising the flag and expect it to be picked up the next morning.
I've came home from work noticing that the flag was still up and my letter was still inside. I was frustrated because the pick up time at the post office had already passed, so my boyfriend would miss out on his motivational letter that day.
Today, yet again, my letter didn't get picked up. The flag is raised and I even saw our mail carrier in our neighborhood. We are in a new subdivision and are currently the only house on our road (though its right on the corner, so it's not really far out of the way). I'm thinking that if we don't have mail that's supposed to be delivered to us, then she just skips our house altogether. Or maybe she doesn't even deliever mail to us when she does have it because I've gotten several letters at once even though they are stamp dated on the envelope different days.
So I was just wondering if it was required to at least check all residents for mail pick up. And if so, how should i handle this situation? I'd hate to tell on her and get her in trouble. This is the woman handling my personal information after all.
It's just frustrating because it's vital that these letters get delivered as soon as possible. Thanks for any and all information
