Is the Lexus ES300 1998 a good car for road trips?

Im driving from Illinois to Texas this summer ( now that im 18 ) so i can visit my friend, then possibly stop by california.

is my car suitable for long trips ?

i just got it so its very new to me, but an amazing car
 
it's a Toyota! Of course it will be okay and safe to drive one!

but... I suggest you go rent a car! You don't want all that gas mileage on your car now!!!! ?
 
i own one also. i've been on a few trips and this car is good for trips. only thing i would say is to be careful about the cup holders cause mostly anything you put in there without your hand holding it is gonna spill. i don;t understand how a car that was wrth 35,000 dollars brand new they(lexus) could not see that this would be a problem.another peeve is when i get in my foot always hits the e brake. other than that very reliable car.it handles good in the snow also with traction control.good luck with your trip,
