is the jeep brand reliable?

iv got a jeep cherokee XJ sport '94',and i think its just the most reliable car.and when i say ''jeep'' i mean dodge & chrysler,too.iv been thinking about getting the dodge journey.
 
the Jeep was one of the most reliable cars in the 1990's now most all cars reliability has improved a lot.
 
jeeps are pretty good for reliability but considering the fact that the journey may very soon be on the chopping block i would look into one of its competitors like the Saturn VUE, Mazda CX-7 or Ford Edge
