Is the iphone 4 battery life good?

iv got the HTC desire HD, any the battery life is ridiculous, it needs charging like every THREE hours. And thats with the brightness all the way down, no bluetooth, no wifi, no apps running etc...

i want to get an iphone 4 or the 4s. whats the battery like on this?
