Is the Ipad a good investment for college?

Is the Ipad a good investment for college, I see people use it when typing notes and stuff. (Not the Ipad 2) Also there's no camera right? I'm pretty sure there isn't.

Yea the original iPad has no camera but the iPad 2 does and it sucks.
But i reccomend you just buy a macbook or a macbook pro if your gonna shell out the big bucks.

I would just buy a cheaper Netbook. Much easier to type with.

My view to iPad is, It's worthless investing in iPad, it can be used just to type notes nothing else, sometimes it becomes tedious job to perform.
