Is the human civilization a giant terrascaping experiment?

I have made my personal answer already, but I want to know what people think.

After reading up on it a bit and doing some research, I have come to consider a possibility regarding the creation and sculpting of civilized existence on earth. Given that many of the miracles of the bible could be interpreted as intervention from an extraterrestrial source. Given the possible advances of technology that a civilization would possess if it also has suitable intergalactic travel, then it is very possible that they could easily do many things considered miraculous (epic flood, parting the dead sea, Sodom and Gomorrah's destruction, etc.).
So the question I impart to you.
Is the entire human civilization, from its birth to now, the experiment of any other extraterrestrial space faring people or peoples?

Well there's no proof either way. How can we be sure that the miracles in the bible aren't exagerations or if they really happend at all? I personally don't think aliens would put that much time and energy into something over thoudsands of years, without revealing themselves.

Very interesting question. My father has posed this same question to me a few years ago.
If any of us now went back to lets say Egyptian times with many of the tools and products we use in our everyday lives. Would the people of that era think us gods? the answer is a probably yes.
My father marvels at the heads of Easter island, the sphinx and a few other great wonders.
Are we an experiment of aliens? I my father might shrug and answer "maybe" For me all i can say is it's an interesting Idea and something to think about. But I don't believe in aliens.

Cardimon. The character Danyelle from star gate SG1 stated the same thing you did in your post. I love science fiction and because of that, the idea of a chariot in the sky describing an alien space craft has always made me think. But I still don't believe in aliens.

No. Enough of the insane and absurd have happened in better-documented history to completely foul up any underlying plan. Not magic/tech, just human perversity--Good Omens might give you an idea of how people might fit into things.

Unless you want to go the mind-control route, in which case, I'd like to know why you're posting.
