Is the HTC Droid Eris a good phone?

I'm going to be switching over to Verizon in a few days and could really use some last minute feedback if anyone has the phone. Any major pros and cons I should be aware of?

Also... somewhat unrelated, do screen protectors interfere with using the touch screen at all? I can't help but imagine they would, but I've heard people says you don't even know they are there.

getting the droid eris is one of the best choices you will make in your life, besides getting a girl and a phone to text her all day with, jokes aside, the htc eris is a great phone. though it is one of my most recommended phones out there. the phone your getting would support multitouch, and is capacitive. but it depends on what you want. if you love texting then get the htc touch pro 2. if you love to watch tv then get the htc imagio. but if you love to surf the web, dont really care about physical keys, like to tweets, likes to have fun with apps, and likes the android operating system then the htc droid eris is perfect for you. i would recommend it more than the other 2 because the interface of the droid eris is fascinating. hope i helped.
