I have divorced parents and I used to go to each parents house every other week.
I have been staying at my dad's house for about 7 weeks because my mother has some mental instabilities that I refuse to live around until she stops denying them.
I am staying at her house this weekend, and I noticed that my nose is stuffy and I have a cold. I ALWAYS have these symptoms at her house, and I didn't notice that until I was cold-free for those weeks at my dad's.
Do you think my house could be making me sick? She cleans exposed surfaces, but I doubt she dusts, and he tries to hide messes. I also sleep in a renovated basement at my dad's, and upstairs at my mom's,could the different sleeping elevations be affecting me?
Just sitting in her house makes me feel like I'm covered in filth. It's small, I sleep in a bunk bed that my 5'9 frame can barely move in, and my mother would rather buy diet coke than shades to keep the blazing hot Arizona sun from frying my room. I hate this.
