Is the gh3 controller compatible with the PS2 version of gh2 & the 80's?

ok so i want to play the guitar hero 2 and guitar hero 80's on my ps3 but as soon as the game connects, the receiver loses connection with the controller.

i need to figure out how to fix it so please, help me.
