Is the gay marriage debate over?

It seems that most politicians have agreed that the government can not deny rights to homosexual couples. I know that there are many who would want to see gays rounded up and shipped to Gitmo but they are few and far in between. The MAJORITY of people understand that gays and lesbians should have equal tax rights, etc.

The only debate now is whether we should call it "marriage". I find that very silly. I personally don't care what you call it, as long as it is called the same thing for all Americans.

Your thoughts?
