Is the Dodge neon srt-4 a good car?

I am 17 and I have a '92 Jetta. I have currently been lookin at a Dodge neon srt-4 and love it! But i have been hearing the bad sides about neons and how they are crappy cars and what not. Can some one give me some technical stuff about them? Good and bad. i want to know if it would be worth my time and effort (and money) to get one. Thanks :)
 
their actually pretty good cars to own, i own a 2001 model and i love it,it runs and drives extremely well,you,ll hear good and bad about chrysler made vehicles but look on the roads today and see what you see the most of,you,ll see a lot of chrysler made vehicles and a lot over ten years old and still going good,good luck.
