I've done alot of research, and I know alot about the breed and what they're *supposed* to be and what they're *supposed* to need in terms of the physical, mental, other stimulation. But I want to know from someone who has had a Doberman before, or could give me some tips about whether the dog will really fit in.
About me:
I am a teenage female, very active, I have plenty of time outside of school to properly socialize and train a puppy. I have a brother who is a year older than me, and I live with my mom. The puppy will be alone for about 6 hours/4 days a week, but my mom has a 45 minute break where she can come home and (during the early days when the dog is being house-broken) take him/her outside. I have had two rottweillers previously and 4 Miniature Pinschers. I have successfully trained them basic obedience. Currently, I only own a 5 year old cat. My house is 1 floor, medium in size. my backyard is fenced, medium to large in size. There are two large parks nearby, I live in the sub-urbs in a small town. It can get fairly cold in the winter, but the dog will live inside with access outdoors.
So? What do you think?
