Is the correct name for a fish caught in MI, Sheephead or what.?

Fl have same name but fish if silver with black strips. If cut head open in MI find 2 white rock behind both eyes, no in FL. MI are large head, flat get as big as 30-40 lb. Need to know if MI correct name for sheephead or what is this fish call we catch to easily in summer only.
