Im in the process of buying one. Found somethin on craigslist and trying to buy a 95' Monte Carlo. Just before i check it out, are cheve's reliable. This car is just a city car, no distance traveling

i work for an auction i am a cr writer and write condion reports on 40 cars a day. ive seen them all and ran into all their problems! and a monte carlo have a inline six motor some have the 3.4 motor and others have the 3.8 liter. they run very well and are verywell known for breaking motor mounts, other than that they are great cars i would buy one if i could find a clean one

Yeah as far as Chevys Go its probably fine But if you want something thats gonna last you forever not so much id look for a Honda acura or Jeep cherokee with the 4.0L High output engine iv seen a few of them make it to 500,000+miles but its really all about upkeep How well you maintain the vehical and how well its been by the other owners
