Is the cheapest Mac Mini good for photography over HP with 3GB RAM and Vista?

Currently using the HP...purchased about a year ago..Wondering if I should switch to the cheapest Mac Mini... I can afford the software for the Mac as well. Thoughts?
I forgot to mention, the HP machine is AMD-64 Dual-core 2.8 gHz.
