Is the Blackberry curve 8530 a good phone?

Im up for a new phone on my plan and I really am drawn to the blackberry curve 8530 in the violet color. Im going to get an internet plan and I want a blackberry. This is the one I want. But all the reviews on there are so mixed. I have verizon by the way. Any help?! I have the voyager right now.
