Is the Blackberry 8900 worth the price outright?

My contract doesnt run out for another year. I dont think I would pay for it outright but if they would give me a good deal I would have to think about it. I am still on my personal Pearl and I do have a work Curve so that keeps me happy ..... for now.

i had a 8320 curve and i just recently upgraded(8mos into my contract) so the phone was pricey like 400+ pricey, but i love it, its faster and sleeker, just the over all phone is better than the 8320,has better themes and apps, this phone(bb)is simply the best phone ever. i recommend that u save a lil bit and get it

I've been out of service for a while, with grandfathered pricing of 59.99 for 1000 min and unlimited data. I just upgraded my 8800 to the 8900 for 40. They gave me a month free service plus an additional 50 off to reach that price. Amazon has one for a penny and my sis got her curve in pennsy for 25, so I called back a few times and they gave me a price I couldn't refuse.

I thought about getting a new account but this way I kept my phone number and still only pay 19.99 for data with unlimited txts.

Now that I have the 8900 I'm not hugely impressed by it. I definitely would have never paid the outright price for it and was fortunate enough to get hooked up with one. I just haven't seen any BB's lately that I'm too impressed about. The only new Blackberry that I haven't had yet is the 8220 but I don't think I'll ever find myself working the predictive text keyboard. Never been a fan of it on the 8100 series and highly doubt I will ever get into another one ever again.
