Is the Army a good choice to be an Officer in?

Hello everyone. I just have a few questions to ask regarding military branches, life, etc. First off, I am soon to be a college graduate and will have a bachelors degree in business administration and I am considering joining the military (not sure which branch I would like to join but have looked deeper into the army than most other branches). I think it makes more sense to use my degree and try to join as an officer. Not sure what job I would like to do, but would like to travel. How are the benefits, housing, etc? I am a little concerned to join the army since a good friend of mine died in the army 2 years ago. Not sure if the Navy is for me since being on a boat for long periods of time does not appeal to me. Not sure about Air force and Marines. If anyone can give me some pointers and possibly recommend a few good jobs as an officer that would be appreciated. I know the question is a little vague but I'm just a bit confused. Thanks for your help.
