Is the a way to increase top speed on Honda XR 2000 ?

I have a Honda XR 2000 100R or cc. I was wondering if there is any way to increase the speed on it, i have been clocked going 44 at my top speed so can i get it up to 50-60 possibly? I can only roll the throtle about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way until it starts coughing and slowing down. Could there be a governor on it or some speed regulator that makes it not go as fast as it can, if so how can i take it off? thanks, if any additional details needed ill let you know
