I will be buying a newer car in the near future. I am considering a '08 Camry SE with about 25,000 miles or less. I have never owned a Toyota before, but I have heard great things about Toyota's cars. I have also heard that the newer Camry with the V6 and 6 speed automatic, when it was introduced in 2007, was known for transmission problems as well as interior fit and finish issues. Is this true, and has Toyota addressed these issues in the 2008 model?
The reason I am asking is because my current car, a '01 Ford Taurus, is known for transmission problems. The transmission in my car is fine, but the door panels are starting to fall apart, and I am looking for something that has higher quality than my Ford.
