Is the 2004 Mazda RX-8 a good car?

WHO STOLE THE HOT SAUCE?

I am saving up my money to but my car in a few years, and the car I really want is a Mazda RX-7, because my dad used to have one But, now that I've seen the RX-8, I'm in love. OK, so is the car one that would be a good car i.e. not need constant tune-ups, get good mpg, etc.
