Is the 2002 Chrysler Sebring a good/reliable car?

It is a 2002 sebring for $3900 OBO, with 60k miles. Any serious problems with this car that a 16 year old girl should be aware of?

The most serious issue these cars have is losing their resale value.

And when you think about it, there has to be reasons as to why they lose their value so quickly....

They aren't particularly reliable, attractive, efficient, powerful, or exciting. It's a rental-car special.

Bob- from a chrysler dealer please dont put your daughter in that vehicle. Check out the IIHS crash tests. I know the price might sound good but your daughters first car should be safe as she is a rookie at driving. I don't know what your budget is but go for something with high miles that is safe and not the low mile sebring. Find something with side airbags and seat belt pre tensioners! Even a better idea get her something with some mass to it that gets bad gas mileage so she does not drive a lot!
