I am 5'4 and weigh 105 pounds and my waist is 30 inches. Before I go back to school I want to lose maybe 2-3 inches off my waist and I want to know if swimming is a good exercise for that. I also walk (and sometimes run) 30 minutes a day, too. I don't want to lose pounds because I heard that muscles weigh more than fat and I am not fat but I have no muscle anywhere and it would be nice to finally see some on my body. So if you think that swimming is a sport (which I am willing to for 1-2 hours every alternate day) that will help me accomplish these goals than tell me why and if you have any other tips than please, feel free to write that down as well.
