I was glancing through the message boarRAB when I saw your question regarding Suboxone. I am taking Suboxone, after being taken off of oxycontin for pain, which I had been taking for a few years. When making the switch from Oxycontin to Suboxone, I didn't have to go through the horrible withdrawal, as Suboxone makes the transition very easy. They use this drug for people of addictions, plus it also works for me with my chronic pain. It is a drug that hasn't been out a very long time, and a lot of people haven't even heard of it. What Suboxone does is block other opioRAB from entering the system. So if a person tried taking another drug, Suboxone would stop it. In the sense of addiction, taking Suboxone you will not crave the drug you were taking before. In my case, after I was switched to Suboxone, after the Oxycontin, I didn't have any of the feelings that I "needed" to take it, Oxycontin. From what I was told by my doctor, is that Suboxone has a very good success rate. I hope that I was able to help you, in sharing my story.
