...pharmacy school? I've just started community college and I've decided I want to be a pharmacist. I want to work in retail or maybe in the hospital. I feel it will be really hard, time consuming, and I am still kind of a little skeptical about it. For some reason, I feel that I don't have the drive to complete it. That's why I'd like to know:
If starting off at a community college affects me at all?
If I complete the prerequisites in two years or so, do I need to continue to get my bachelors or am I able to go straight from a community to a pharmacy school?
What can you tell me about the prereqs.?
What would I need to major in?
What is the difference between private and public pharmacy schools? Is one harder to get into? Cost? Prestige?
Will life be all about studying and school... Would you have time to still go out on weekends with family and friends or is studying the only option? Will school take up most of your time?
What are some educational paths that I can take?
I don't have a good GPA from high school. Will this be a problem?
Is all this schooling worth it in the end?
Any other info advice?
Thank You Very Much. I need all the help I could get.
