Is sports singular or plural?

1- He is great at sport.
2- He is great at sports.
Which one of the above is correct?

I read in one grammar book that sport is uncountable noun but I have seen usage of sport as well as sports in sentences.

Could anyone please help?

Thanks!

This is hard to explain, but both forms are acceptable. Sport can be considered the whole variety of sports as well. Then sports can be considered as the sports you might be talking about.
Say, he is great at sport. Sport could also mean gym which includes all the different kinds of sports.
Then, he is great at sports. These sports could include the specific types of sports such as tennis, hockey, swimming, etc.

I hope that made sense!
