I first heard of this as going on in the UK but here in the states online gaming is illegal, so are there any ways to do it legally in the USA? Is it legal to place online bets on UK booking sites from the US?
Quick reference, arbitage is where you find 2 different betting outlets or bookies offering similar odds on different outcomes, for example if one bookie is giving odds paying 2.05 on 1 boxer, and another bookie is giving odds of 2.05 on the other, you place a $500 bet on each and lose one but win the other, and still net a gain of $25.
I know its a little more complicated than that, I'm just looking to play around and have some fun, not a get rich quick thing.
I'm not interested in doing anything illegal and I do plan on reporting any LEGAL income I make doing it on my taxes.

Sports betting is legal in some places, Las Vegas for example, or at Indian Casinos, but arbitrage requires you find 2 places offering odds on opposite outcomes, you won't find one casino offering bets with favoring odds on each of the 2 boxers in a match for example, thats a recipe to lose money.
