I just bought an N93 and it's awesome. But my manual says that the navigation control on the side "moves around the menus in the Fold closed mode and imaging mode. Press the scroll key in the middle to select, accept, or activate." How can you know what your going through if the phone is closed, and Im trying to push the button but nothing seems to happen. Am I missing something?

Hi all,
You can use those controls for listening to Music in Flip closed mode stop ff/rw etc as well as in camera/Video as i do all the time.

I just bought this phone on ebay and it said new never opened. It arrived obviously used. The guy said he just wanted to verify it worked. I paid $585 shipped. It would take me awhile to make sure everything works right, and it dont even have a warranty. Would you guys return it and buy a new one?

Hi rememdy510,

To be honest if you are happy with the condition of the unit the price you have paid does not seem expensive as here in the UK they are still ?400+ and you have paid around ?300 and shipping. I don't fully understand why you say it has no warranty? but only you can decide if you should keep it or not. The costs involved in returning the unit and getting your money back also need to be taken into consideration. But i would say if it is good condition no marks and all the guy has done is check it out it i can't see what you hope to gain by returning it and going through the whole process again. Most people that sell on E-Bay would IMO of opened the box and at least turned it on and had a little play with it, the next one may be worse.

I agree I got a pretty good price. But for $100 dollars more, I could have gotten it new (sealed) with a manufactures warranty. About the warranty, I called nokia and they said it is void because I bought it off of ebay. If I bought if from them for $100 more, of course it comes with a 1 yr manufactures warranty.

@rememdy510
OK now i understand a bit better your situation but i thought the N93 came with a 2 year warranty and i must say it is not just Nokia that have taken this stance on not giving warranty on goods not bought via their retail outlets. Also most manufacturers refuse to honor warranties on phones bought from a Country other than where you reside. We live in a global market and these goods should all be covered where ever you live irrespective of where or how you purchased the phone IMO.
